What is the Cooling Coil / Evaporator?

The evaporator, also known as the Cooling Coil, is an important part of the vehicle’s air-conditioning system. It absorbs heat from the cabin air and helps produce cool air.

Over time, dust, grease, pollen, moisture and other contaminants may accumulate on the Cooling Coil surface. This buildup may reduce airflow, affect cooling performance and contribute to unpleasant or musty odors inside the vehicle.

Recommended Maintenance Interval

Recommended every approximately 40,000KM.

Earlier inspection or cleaning may be recommended if:

• Air-conditioning performance has noticeably decreased
• Airflow becomes weaker
• Musty or unpleasant odors are present
• The Cooling Coil has not been cleaned for a long period
• Occupants are sensitive to dust or unpleasant odors

• A/C Piping Flushing focuses on cleaning the internal refrigerant piping and removing old compressor oil, contamination and debris from the A/C refrigerant circuit.
